It has come to our attention that we have not been clear in our descriptions of our 2 projects available to people in the Eastern Region. Please note our clearly defined goals in summary below.
Route Back Project
Our Route Back project is for Talented Main Stream Footballers throughout the region to stay within the elite standard of football. We provide UEFA & FA training & facilities for Players between the ages of 15 & 22 years who have played football for County, Academy or PDC level with an opportunity for exceptional footballers who have not had these opportunities previously. Our aim is to develop these players to the highs=est standards with a view to placing them with Scholarships or Contracts with Professional Football Clubs.
Amputee Football
Our founding sport, We provide football opportunities for players who have suffered from Loss of the use of a limb, born with a congenital defect or suffered from amputation.
These are 2 seperate projects and we apologise to everyone who may have been confused that the 2 projects were for amputees only. |
Our new fixture lists for the Elite squads is soon to published with some Premier League Academy sides looking to challenge our players home and away. Our home ground facilities are soon to be announced following the appointment of Rob Taylor as Director of Football.
Rob grew up at Norwich City and played there Until joining Leighton Orient at 19 years of age, he went on to play for Brentford, Gillingham, Manchester City & Wolves. Rob now resides back in his home county of Norfolk and his appointment demonstrates the commitment of Team Anglia GB to promote the resources of the regions talent at all levels. |
We are delighted to welcome former Man City star Rob Taylor to Team Anglia GB as our newly appointed Director of Football. Robs distinguished career as a successful striker with Premier league experience is a major boost to the newly formed elite squads who will be taking on the finest academy under 16 & under 18 sides this coming season. Robs commission is to Manage and develop the Under 21 squad and oversee the training and development of the 16's & 18's and their respective managers and coaches. Robs rich experience across the board will be a revelation for our new coaches and managers and will give our players the best possible start in preperation for the coming season.
Rob said of his appointment ' too many young and talented players do not get the opportunity to progresss in football due to quotas and availability of facilities. Team Anglia GB gives these players the opportunity to experience Academy standard football and the opportunity for those who want it bad enough to move on to fullfilling careers in football. My first job is to appoint worthy managers of the younger age groups to ensure their best chance of development'
These are certainly the start of some exciting times in the development and growth of Team Anglia GB. |
